Neurons in the cortex
Neurons have different shapes and functions. There are six layers of neurons within the cortex. Each layer contains characteristics combinations of different neurons.



Neurons Pathways
Skins neurons (shown in orange) deal with signals coming in from other parts of he body. Some neurons (shown in blue) deal with signals going out is the cortex. Some neurons (shown in green) are connected only to other neurons within the cortex.
